Whether you’re shopping for a foam or hybrid mattress, Leesa is worth a look. This online mattress brand offers three high-quality, made-in-America options with varying firmness levels and price points.
But if your goal is to find the most competitive price out there, you may want to expand your search.
Leesa foam mattress | This 10-inch foam mattress comes with a built-in Avena cooling layer on top. Although it comes in just one firmness level, the team at Leesa say it’s designed to conform to all body types and sleep positions. |
Sapira hybrid mattress | Not sure if foam is right for you? Might want to check out this hybrid mattress. Made of 11 inches of foam and spring coils, it also comes with Avena cooling technology and enhanced edge support. |
The Leesa foam mattress is the more affordable option, starting at $525 for a twin and going up to $1,195 for a California king.
The hybrid Sapira mattress starts at $995 for a twin and goes up to $1,795 for a California king.
Leesa’s checkout page is secure, so you can safely enter your payment information. But if you’d like to play it even safer, choose the PayPal or Amazon Pay options.
Yes. Select the Affirm financing button at checkout if you’d rather pay for your new bed in monthly installments. Interest rates range from 0% to 30% APR, and you should get a nearly instant answer on your approval status.
The original Leesa mattress is made of three layers of premium foam and offers uniform pressure relief, minimal motion transfer and balanced body contouring.
The advanced Sapira hybrid mattress is a combination of premium foam and over 1,000 pocketed spring coils to adjust to your body’s unique pressure points. This mattress is an inch thicker than the original foam Leesa.
No, Leesa recommends that you use a solid foundation or base — not a box spring — for its mattresses. If you already have a box spring foundation, you can use a bunkie board to give your Leesa mattress more support and stability.
Leesa mattresses come with a 10-year warranty, but our research shows that most memory foam mattresses last an average of six years.
Don’t flip your Leesa or Sapira mattress. Instead, it’s recommended that you rotate it from head to toe every three to six months to help it wear more evenly. This can be helpful if you share a bed with a partner who’s substantially lighter or heavier than you.

One of the neat things about Leesa is that it’s really into giving back. The Virginia-based mattress company offers a 15% discount on every order for all active-duty servicemembers, retirees, veterans, military spouses and family members, first responders, teachers and students.
Leesa also gives back to the community and the earth. For every 10 mattresses sold, Leesa donates one to a non-profit organization that helps the homeless. So far, it’s donated over 30,000 mattresses to those in need. The company’s also a proud partner of the Arbor Day Foundation, planting one tree for every mattress sold.
For the most part, customers are happy with the quality of Leesa mattresses for the price. Several online reviewers claim that switching to a Leesa or Sapira mattress helped with back pain and that they’re a bit softer than other options. Reviewers also note that Leesa mattresses can be a good fit for couples who have a hard time choosing a bed that matches both of their preferences.
There are far fewer negative reviews out there. Two of the biggest problems customers point out include the mattress sleeping hot and lack of edge support on the Leesa version. If this is important to you, the Sapira may be a better choice.
You can reach a customer service rep at 844-335-3372 or through live chat online, weekdays from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. ET and weekends from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET. Or just email support@leesa.com.
Leesa and Purple are two popular online mattress brands. Both offer a more affordable model with fewer bells and whistles, as well as a luxury option. Purple’s big stand-out quality is that it combines memory foam with a patented material called Hyper-Elastic Polymer, which gives its beds considerable bounce and pressure-point relief.
If you’re springing for the most expensive Purple mattress, you’re going to pay quite a bit more than a Sapira. But compared to the original Purple, Leesa’s foam mattress sells at a similar price point.
