What features does Shudder offer?

In addition to offering an entire streaming library of horror and thriller programming, Shudder gives you the ability to switch midstream between devices, leave reviews and use your Chromecast to cast content onto a larger screen.

Share your thoughts about a movie or series with the rest of the Shudder community. All reviews are set in stone — contact customer service to change a review you’ve sent.

When your Chromecast device is on the same Wi-Fi network as your iOS or Android mobile device or your desktop, cast Shudder content onto your TV. The only restriction is Shudder TV — it can’t be cast from the Shudder app, only its website.

Expert review

Shudder appeals to those invested in the horror genre and want to explore its many subgenres. It also offers Shudder TV and its live feed of content. But according to Redditors, Shudder TV offers the same movies and series found in the catalog — just without the option to pause or rewind.

If you’re looking for a way to watch copious amounts of scary titles, it might be worth the $5.99 a month subscription. However, it isn’t a good way to supplement traditional cable since it doesn’t offer any other genre.
