SEMrush for Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
SEMrush for SEO allows you to locate and assess your competitors for organic traffic and compare your volume of users to theirs, while showing their keyword rankings. This solution also features technical aspects that allow you to see what problems your site might have in drawing hits, including security problems and crawlability issues.
From there it will search its database of more than 700 million keywords across 140 countries to get the best long tail keywords and phrase matches for your site. Those keywords can then help you to build content that is appealing to both human readers and crawling search bots. This package also contains advice on how to get more hits and allows you to track and report your results on a dashboard.
SEMrush for advertising
SEMrush’s advertising offerings help your company build keywords from scratch. There are functions to filter out ones that are too expensive or simply don’t work, compare your keywords to those used by your competitors in pay-per-click (PPC) campaigns and filter out negative keywords that can have you competing against yourself. Using market research, SEMrush can give you examples of successful ad copy and visuals to inspire your own and track/report your results against up to 20 competitors.
SEMrush for public relations (PR) and content marketing
SEMrush can help you monitor trending topics and identify those formats of content that are getting the most play on social media. Once the content is created, SEMrush can help you identify which media channels can best share your brand, and also who is already talking about you.

SEMrush offers a robust array of products dedicated to improving a company’s online marketing. Some of these tools can be very valuable to businesses in general, while others are fairly specific in nature.
- The Pro package is powerful enough to handle most SMBs with up to 5 projects and 500 keywords to track, along with 50 social media profiles.
- The annual savings are substantial: $250 for the Pro package, $500 for the Guru Package and more than $1,000 for the Business Package.
- The maximum user limit for the Guru Package is only 2 while for the Business Package it’s 9, meaning if you have 3 users, you have to spend an extra $251/month for that third person.
- API Access is only available to Business Package customers.
