Can I shop in-store at Nintendo on Black Friday?

Nintendo doesn’t have any official stores in Ireland so you’ll need to go online and do a little research to bag one of its portable consoles and a selection of games at a bargain price.

Nintendo does operate a UK and Ireland eShop where you’ll need to create an account before you can purchase and download games. However, customers in ROI will be unable to purchase the Nintendo Switch games console or official hard copies of any games as shipping items outside of the UK is unavailable. This means you’ll need to look for other retailers that stock Nintendo Switch consoles and games, especially if you want the physical games in your possession.

What time can I start shopping?

If you’re planning to shop from the comfort of your own home, then expect to start shopping for Black Friday bargains at the stroke of midnight on Thursday 26 November leading into Friday 27 November. But you won’t just have Friday in which to shop. Expect sales and discounts to continue right through the weekend into Cyber Monday, which falls on Monday 30 November this year.
