Due to recent events, many stores are experiencing a shortage of certain products. Be aware that many retailers may currently be out of stock, have longer shipping times than usual or be charging above-average prices. The World Health Organization has recommended that masks should be worn in public places where social distancing is not possible. In Ireland, face masks or coverings must be worn on public transport.

So if you’re now looking to buy a face mask, there are heaps of options available on the market.

Some reusable face masks come with filter inserts that can be worn inside your mask or left out. Alternatively, you can opt for a mask that has built-in filters, usually known as P2 or KN95 masks.

These filter inserts need to be replaced. Generally, you can use them about seven times each, but you should always check the supplier’s guidelines to make sure.
