When does the Black Friday sale start?

The Black Friday sale starts around the globe on Black Friday 26 November. Be prepared for some fantastic bargains and one-off deals! This is one of the best sales of the year, so it’s an ideal time to stock up on some wishlist items for yourself and Christmas gifts for loved ones.

Product delivery details

Remember that delivery times can be delayed with the big sales like Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and there have also been some delays due to COVID-19. Allow time if you are shopping for a special occasion or from overseas. Otherwise, opt for expedited shipping or click and collect, if available!

You can easily get your new gadgets quickly and in plenty of time for Christmas.

Can I shop in-store on Black Friday?

Sure you can! If your chosen store has a storefront, you can shop in-store as well as online for all the bargains. Check your store’s website to find out details of store locations and also for updates on their COVID-19 restrictions.

We find the crowds of in-store shopping rather stressful, which is why we have put together this online shopping guide. It’s up to you.

What time can I start shopping?

Online stores generally start their sales at 12:00am on Black Friday. To be sure of the best deals, set your alarm clocks for super early or stay up late!

Check your time zones too – if you are shopping from international sites, the online sales are likely to be scheduled to different time zones.

Why is Black Friday important in Ireland?

Although Thanksgiving is not generally celebrated in Ireland, the Irish can still take advantage of this bargain shopping experience! The Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales are all about getting the best bargains, and savvy shoppers can save big on the latest technology!

Bookmark this page as it will be regularly updated and you get to see off the Black Friday 2021 deals in the one place LIVE. Expect some outstanding deals!

Which has better sales, Black Friday or Cyber Monday?

Black Friday and Cyber Monday are 2 huge sales with Black Friday being held on Friday 26 November in 2021 and Cyber Monday on Monday 29 November.

Black Friday was traditionally an in-store sale while Cyber Monday had all the online sales. Now Black Friday is in-store and online. These sales are completely separate, although often the Black Friday sale continues through the weekend, right through to Cyber Monday.

There is more stock for sale at the start of the sales period on Black Friday; however, the prices are usually more heavily reduced on Cyber Monday. So, if you can hold out, you might really get a steal of a deal on Monday – but your wishlist items may be sold out.

Popular tech brands and items tend to sell fast, so it is a good idea to get in early.

We suggest that if you see a good bargain, buy it then and there to avoid disappointment.

Returns, exchanges and refunds

Check the returns policy on individuals stores, especially return time frames. Many stores offer returns for change of mind, exchanges and even free returns postage while others have stricter returns policies.

Is it worth waiting until Black Friday?

Yes. Black Friday is now within sight and it’s renowned for being one of, if not the biggest, sales of the year. It’s well known for offering substantial discounts across computers, electronics and tech in general.

If you’re in the market for some new tech soon anyway, you might as well hold off to see what Black Friday has to offer in the 2021 event.

Tips and tricks for shopping the Black Friday sales

Want to shop smarter during this year’s sales? Here are our top tips and tricks:

  • Organise your finances. Before you shop, give yourself a realistic and affordable allowance to spend during the sales. Once you’ve worked this out, make sure you stick to your budget to avoid getting into a sticky situation with your finances.
  • Write a list. Think about what you really want to buy during the Black Friday sales before you start shopping. It can be easy to be swayed by all the great discounts, so this will help you to avoid buying any tech that you weren’t after in the first place.
  • Browse in advance. Stake out the websites first. Pick out the items that you’re really interested in and bookmark the pages or add the items to your shopping basket and wait to see what discounts are applied when the sale day arrives.
  • Do your research. There are plenty of places to shop for tech online so check out the competition before buying. Avoid the disappointment of later learning that you could have saved even more by shopping around a bit first.
  • Check the validity of the site. Scammers have been known to set up fake websites to lure credit card details from unsuspecting shoppers. Click through from the Finder website to be safe or otherwise ensure that the website you visit starts with https:// rather than http:/. The “s” stands for secure.
