Amazon Fire Stick
The Amazon Fire Stick is compatible with Disney+ and is very similar to Chromecast, allowing users to wirelessly stream content from mobile devices to your TV. However, it also lets you install apps like Disney+ so you can watch without your mobile device.
Type Disney+ into the search bar on your Fire Stick home screen, install it, and login with your Disney+ credentials. Here’s more info on how to watch Disney+ on the big screen without a smart TV.
Google Chromecast
Chromecast is affordable and user-friendly, making it a fine choice for plenty of users who don’t have a smart TV, but still want to enjoy content on the big screen.
All you need to do is have your device up and running by connecting it to your TV, then cast content from Disney+ to the TV using your smartphone as a remote.
iPhone, iPad, iPod touch
Disney+ has an iOS app for Apple devices. To get started, download it and install it from the App Store. Then, login with your Disney+ credentials and you’re good to go.
Android phones/tablets, Android TV
Similarly, Disney+ also has an app for Android devices – including smartphones, tablets, and TVs running Android TV. This time around, you’ll need to download it and install it from Google Play.
Apple TV
If you have a 4th or 5th generation Apple TV, you can download and install the Disney+ app directly to the device and stream Disney+ on the big screen. If you have an older model, you can use Airplay to watch Disney+ on TV.
Microsoft Xbox One
To enjoy Disney+ content with an Xbox One, you will need to download the app from the Microsoft Store and install it.
You can subscribe to Disney+ directly from your console, but you might save yourself some time if you already have an account set up.
Sony PlayStation 4
Keen to watch Disney+ with a PS4? Download the Disney+ app from the PlayStation Store to get started. You might have to search for it if you don’t immediately see it in the Apps section.
Android-based Sony Smart TVs
The new streaming service works on compatible Sony smart TVs with Android TV. The Disney+ Android app can be installed from Google Play or Sony Select.
Samsung smart TVs
If you have a Samsung smart TV from 2016 to the current line-up, you should be able to install the Disney+ app with minimal hassle and start enjoying movies and shows in minutes.
