How to earn JetBlue TrueBlue points
Plenty of opportunities to earn strong rewards with everyday spending
Earning points for JetBlue’s TrueBlue program is quite easy compared to other airlines. You can reap some serious points if you pair up your spending with a credit card.
Here’s how to best earn points on your JetBlue TrueBlue account.
Eleven ways to earn TrueBlue points
Earn miles with credit cards
Supplement your TrueBlue point earnings with a credit card that comes with a signup bonus and points on everyday spending.
Boost your TrueBlue points with JetBlue’s cobranded credit cards. Get additional points on JetBlue purchases along with spending in other reward categories.
If you don’t want a cobranded card, try a card that allows you to transfer points to your TrueBlue account.
Flying with JetBlue
Flights you book on JetBlue earn a base point rate of 3x points per dollar. However, you can earn an additional point bonus based on your fare type when you book on jetblue.com.
|Fare type||Bonus points per dollar||Bonus total|
You can also earn 6x points total when booking a JetBlue Vacation online.
Earn Mosaic status
Mosaic is JetBlue’s premier membership level. You can gain access by earning 15,000 base flight points within a calendar year, or by flying 30 segments plus 12,000 base flight points within a calendar year. Base flights, in this case, are the 3x points per dollar you earn on JetBlue flights.
Mosaic members get a cool 15,000-point bonus upon qualification and an additional 3x points per dollar on JetBlue flights. You can earn at least a whopping 9x points per dollar when you book on jetblue.com.
Upgrading your flight
You’ll get a point bonus to your account if you make certain flight upgrades. For example, upgrading your space earns you 200 points. Booking a flight with your pet earns you 300 points.
Fly with partnered airlines
Partnered airlines allow you to earn and redeem TrueBlue points. Unlike flights booked through JetBlue directly, the points you earn with partnered airlines depend on the flight distance and vary from airline to airline. Current partners include:
- Hawaiian Airlines
- Silver Airways
- Singapore Airlines
- South African Airways
Shop with JetBlue partners
Making eligible purchases with JetBlue partners can earn you bonus points to your account.
|Lyft||30 points for every airport ride|
750 points for signing up to Lyft
|Amazon||3x points on eligible inflight purchases|
|AVIS||100 points per day|
|Budget||100 points per day|
|SoFI||1x point for every $2 refinanced, up to 50,000 TrueBlue points|
|JetOpinions||Earn 400 points for taking your first survey|
You’ll earn 3x points per dollar spent at restaurants, bars and clubs participating in the TrueBlue Dining program.
Earn bonus points for shopping online through JetBlue’s ShopTrue portal.
Booking a hotel
You can earn TrueBlue points when you stay with participating hotel brands. Eligible hotels include those under Marriott and IHG, though your earnings rate depends on the particular brand you’re booking.
JetBlue offers fun and lucrative point bonuses for accomplishing certain goals during a calendar year. These can be a great way to pick up some bonus points with just a little effort.
|Take 3 Bonus||Purchase and fly three roundtrip JetBlue flights in the calendar year||5,000 points|
|Lucky 7 Bonus||Purchase and fly seven roundtrip JetBlue flights in the calendar year||7,000 points|
|Go Long Bonus||Purchase and fly 10 one-way JetBlue flights that are 1,600 miles or more in the calendar year||10,000 points|
Purchase TrueBlue points
You can purchase TrueBlue points directly through JetBlue’s TrueBlue webpage. However, they are worth more upon redemption.
It’s simple to earn lots of points for JetBlue’s TrueBlue rewards program, particularly if you’re a frequent flyer and can earn Mosaic status.
Supplement your earnings with the right credit card and you’ll have a host of travel and redemption options available at your fingertips. Compare your redemption options to make sure you get the most value out of your points!
