It looks like ALU may not be available to purchase on an exchange in the US.

You can still purchase ALU by using a decentralized exchange (DEX) instead. decentralized exchanges are web applications that run on blockchains like Binance Smart Chain (BSC) and allow users to trade any asset directly with one another.

How to purchase ALU using a decentralized exchange.
  1. Find ALU on a decentralized exchange and make sure Altura can be traded for BNB which is the native asset of Binance. The most popular DEX on Binance Smart Chain is PancakeSwap.
  2. Buy BNB to trade for ALU using an exchange like Crypto.com. You will need to purchase enough BNB to swap for ALU as well as BNB to pay for transaction fees (known as gas) on the BSC network, which usually costs less than a dollar.
  3. Transfer the BNB into a a web 3.0 wallet like MetaMask to connect to the DEX.
  4. Trade BNB for ALU on PancakeSwap, following the instructions on screen. Make sure to leave enough BNB in your wallet to pay for gas.
  5. Wait for the transaction to finalize and the ALU tokens will arrive in your wallet.
  6. You may now keep the tokens in your web 3.0 wallet or transfer them somewhere more secure like a hardware wallet.

Is Altura a good investment?

When deciding on whether to invest in ALU, there are a few factors to consider that may impact the price:

  • Smart NFTs. A major step forward for blockchain gaming is the implementation of Smart NFTs – in-game items that react and respond to certain stimulus. An example of this condition might be a character that evolves into a different, upgraded NFT after a certain period of time, either real-world or in-game. Another example might be dynamic statistics based on game data, such as ‘games won’ or ‘damage dealt’. Smart NFTs are still a work in progress, and their successful development will go a long way to capturing interest in Altura’s platform.
  • Cross-game items. Altura plans to accommodate the creation of cross-game items for new games built with the platform’s services. Essentially, game developers will be able to integrate certain NFT items that already exist on the Altura network into their own projects.
  • Unethical nature of loot boxes. A major drawing point for Altura is their inclusion of a loot box system, however, these have long been a point of contention within the gaming industry. Many believe loot boxes promote gambling to a younger audience and can quickly result in addiction.
  • Tokenomics. There is a total supply of 1 billion ALU BEP-20 tokens. Of that, 30% were sold via the Initial DEX Offering and 10% through private sales. Altura has allocated themselves 45% of the token supply, with 10% dedicated to the team, 10% for marketing, 15% for development and 10% as a reserve.
