Founded in 2018 by Zach Burks, Mintable is a platform where users can mint, buy and sell NFTs. Safe to say now you have an idea where it gets its name from. Minting is the process of verifying information on the blockchain.
If you have no clue what NFTs are, they are a type of cryptographic token that have their value pegged to real-world objects like art, music, videos and in-game items. NFT is short for non-fungible token. Compared to cryptocurrencies, NFTs come with unique markers that distinguish them from each other.
Step 1: Create an account
Whether you are looking to buy, sell, mint or trade NFTs on the Mintable platform, you first need an account. Creating an account is an easy process, taking a few seconds.
Go to the app on the Mintable website/ and click on "Create Account". A tab will appear, fill in the necessary information, tick the required boxes and click on "Create an Account".
Step 2: Connect your wallet
Once you have an account, the next step is to connect your wallet. If you don't have a wallet you'll have to get one. You cannot buy an NFT on Mintable without a wallet.
Some of the wallets that work with Mintable include MetaMask, Trust Wallet and Rainbow. Besides the wallet, you also need ETH in your wallet to buy an NTF on Mintable. ETH allows you to submit transactions on the Ethereum blockchain.
To connect your wallet to Mintable, log into your account and click on the "Connect a Wallet" tab. MetaMask is one of the crypto wallet options. If you don't have it you can install it real quick as a Chrome or Firefox extension.
Step 3: Select the item you want to buy
Items are categorized as Art, Collectibles, Game Items, Music, Domains, Templates and Videos. Click on the item you want and proceed to "Make Payment". You can pay via your crypto wallet or credit card. If you choose to buy your item with a credit card there will be a 5% fee from the credit card processor.
You can go see your item on the "My Orders" page on your profile. On the main page, click on "My Account", a drop box will appear, click on "Profile" then "My Orders".
Once your transaction has been approved on the blockchain you can refresh the page and it will show "Completed". As simple as that, you bought your first, second or third NFT.
Step 1: Get your digital item ready
NFTs can be created from GIFs, images, audio files, video files, documents, domain names, game items, collectibles and so much more. Whichever item you intend to sell as an NFT should be ready for the market. Your item should be of high quality if you wish to sell quickly.
Step 2: Set up your crypto wallet
Any transaction in the crypto space requires a crypto wallet. You'll need an Ether wallet to start selling NFTs on Mintable. If you don't already have one, you'll have to get one. The wallet will also have to have some ETH.
Step 3: Create an account
If you already have an account then this step is not necessary. You can simply log into your account. However, if you don't have an account then you'll need one. You can't start selling NFTs on Mintable without a user account. Creating an account is a quick and easy process taking you a few seconds.
Step 4: List your item
On the main page scroll to My Account and click on "List an Item for Sale". A tab will appear, asking if the item you wish to list for sale is already live on the blockchain or a new item you want to make.
Creating a new item on Mintable is a quick and easy process. This is one of the many reasons Mintable stands out from its competitors. Before you can create your NFT you'll have to first sign into your Mintable account. This is why step 3 is important.
Once you have created and listed your item you are good to go. It's that simple. You can market your item around to promote its quick sell.
Step 1: Click on 'Mint an Item' on the main page
Go to the Mintable website and click on "Mint an Item". An option to create a new item will appear, click on it. Once you do, you will be asked whether you want to issue the token completely free and gasless or the traditional (more advanced) way. The free and easy way is the best option.
Step 2: Create and list your item for sale
To create an NFT with Mintable you'll need a listing title, listing subtitle and description of the item you wish to turn into an NFT. You'll also need the item that you want to turn into an NFT. Mintable allows you to choose from images, GIFs, videos, audio files, collectibles, documents and so much more.
Upload the file you want to turn into an NFT and set a price. You also have to choose whether you want copyright of the content to be transferable.
Step 3: Click on the 'List This Item' button
The final step to creating an NFT with Mintable is clicking on the "List This Item" button. Once you are done you'll be able to view your newly minted NFT on the Mintable marketplace and in your connected Ethereum wallet.
NFTs you can buy on Mintable include art, collectibles, game items, music, domains, templates and videos.
