PrimeCredit runs its credit business mainly in Hong Kong and mainland China and it offers credit cards services. Its EarnMORE credit card offers uncapped cash rewards and max 2% rebates. There is no time and date restrictions or merchant requirement. WeWa credit card offers max 4% cash rebate on spending in four main categories: travelling, cinema, karaoke and theme park.

Types of PrimeCredit credit cards

PrimeCredit offers two credit card products. You can make your day-to-day spending and earn rewards at the same time:

• EarnMORE credit card. Apart from its fabulous welcome offer, each spending, including local, overseas and online shopping, is eligible for 2% cash rebate. There is no pre-registration, minimum spending or merchant requirement. Also, no extra handling fee for overseas spending. You may apply for “3-month interest free Installment” for any of your merchant spending on or before 31 Mar 2022 conveniently via the app.
• WeWa credit card. Card holders can enjoy limited offers from time to time. Card holder may collect “Selfish Rewards” each time they spend. With it, one can redeem e-vouchers and earn up to 4% cash rebate throughout the year. Also, You may apply for “3-month interest free Installment” conveniently via the Omy Card app.

Features and benefits

• Two networks. Although PrimeCredit only offers two card products, there are VISA and UnionPay version to choose from for each card.
• Exclusive privilege for UnionPay member. There are some perks exclusively for UnionPay card holders including access to LoungeKey Airport Lounges (spending requirement to be met), buy one get one free offer at selected restaurants and personal concierge service etc.
• OmyCard mobile app. The app is for PrimeCredit card holders. It is handy and you can manage your budget, view transactions, apply for installments, cash in advance etc.
• QR code payment. You can pay with your QR code with your OmyCard app without using your physical card at all.
• Simple cash rewards. There are a few upsides for PrimeCredit’s cash reward scheme: no registration needed, it applies to all merchants and in HKD or foreign currencies.

How can I apply for a PrimeCredit credit card?

Eligibility

• Age. Applicant must be 18 or above.
• Residential status. Hong Kong resident (permanent or non-permanent).
• Income requirements. It has varying income requirements, depending on the credit card product you are applying for.

Necessary documents and information

• HKID. When you have filled in the (online) form, you have to upload a copy of your Hong Kong ID.
• Income proof. In general, the applicant should present payslips in the last two months/a set of bank statements showing the last two months of salary payments.
• Address proof. Bank statement or utility bill issued within the last three months.
• Student ID. Applicable to student card application only.
