Glossier’s LA store opens today
West Coast babes rejoice: Glossier is finally California dreaming.
Glossier’s second permanent brick-and-mortar location is finally opening today at 10 a.m. in LA. Lucky ladies who live in the City of Angels will finally be able to buy their favorite Glossier products in person at the new Melrose Place store, right across the street from Marc Jacobs.
Although Glossier has previously set up pop-up shops in cities like San Francisco, this will only be their second permanent store, a highly anticipated little sister to the flagship New York showroom.
You’ll be able to buy all your favorite Glossier products at the LA location, including the brand new Lash Slick. But as always, Glossier has aimed to make the store more than just a place to shop; it’s a place to experience all kinds of sensations.
Glossier CEO Emily Weiss, one of the top women in retail in 2018, teased fans with a preview of the new store yesterday on Glossier’s official Instagram story. It shows the new location’s cute and very pink theme. Weiss took a sassy selfie in the store’s giant mirror, decorated with a warning that announces, “Objects in mirror are dewier than they appear.”
But perhaps the most impressive and exciting feature of the new store is Glossier Canyon, a mysterious back room with majorly cool vibes. In the video tour of the showroom, a Glossier employee dressed in the signature head-to-toe pink jumpsuit gracefully opens the door for Weiss to reveal a room unlike anything I’ve ever seen. The sounds and appearance of the room effortlessly bring nature to the indoors for a one-of-a-kind experience.
