What is Gillette On Demand?

Gillette has set the standard for razors and skin care since 1901, when King C. Gillette invented the first safety razor. Since 2015, Gillette On Demand has been making it easier for customers to enjoy a super-smooth shave without having to make a trip to the store or running out of refills — and every person who shaves knows just how fun it is to shave with a dull blade. Ouch! By utilizing on-demand text-to-order and monthly subscription options, customers can look their best without the hassle of traffic and shopping.

Payment options

Use your Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover card to pay for your order. Subscription payments are automatic.

Razor model What you get Cost Shipping
Sensor 3 disposable blades Eight disposable razors $7 for your first order; $10 for future orders $2.00
MACH3 Four blade refills — handle included with first purchase $7 for your first order; $10 for future orders Free
Fusion ProShield Four blade refills — handle included with first purchase $17 for your first order; $20 for future orders Free

Can I get free delivery?

Yes! All MACH3 and Fusion ProShield orders include free shipping. Sensor 3 disposable razors ship for $2.

Shipping time

Your new razors will arrive three to five business days after ordering. Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, APO/FPO and extended delivery areas may take a little longer.

How can I track my order?

Once your blades ship, you’ll receive an email that includes tracking information. You can also log into your Gillette account and check your order history to view your shipment status. If you suspect there’s an issue with your shipment — it’s late or missing — reach out to Gillette On Demand’s customer service so they can track down your order.

What’s Gillette On Demand’s return policy?

For defective, damaged or incorrect items, contact Gillette On Demand’s customer service for a return authorization and then return for a full refund. You’re not responsible for return shipping charges. Items must be returned within 30 days of delivery and unopened in their original packaging with all accessories to qualify for a refund.

When’s the next sale?

Currently, you’ll receive $3 off your first order and if you subscribe for automatic deliveries, every fourth order is free. Gillette On Demand also has a referral program. Refer a friend and you’ll both get a $5 credit applied to your next shipment when that friend places their first order.

What sets this brand apart?

In 2012, the blade game changed with the advent of razor subscription services, quickly making a handful of razor entrepreneurs household names. Citing stolen patent technology and trade secrets, Gillette took a number of the more popular shave clubs to court, a move described as a scare tactic in response to these new brands’ growing popularity.

In 2015, Gillette launched its own subscription service in classic “if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em” fashion. And they added on-demand text-to-order options, $3 off first-time orders and free shipping to boot.

How can I contact customer support?

If you have product or service questions, you can contact Gillette On Demand’s customer service department by calling 844-467-1332, Monday through Friday (except holidays) from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern time, sending a message to or filling out the website’s contact form at the bottom of Gillette On Demand’s “Contact Us” page.

Pros and cons

  • Quality razors from a name you trust. Gillette dominates the razor market for a reason. People trust the name to get high-quality razors.
  • Convenience. Having razors delivered means no extra trips to the store, and you always have a fresh blade.
  • Flexible delivery options. Order blades when you want with a quick text message, or choose an automatic subscription so you can “set it and forget it.”

  • Cost. While more economical than buying razors at the store, Gillette On Demand is slightly more expensive than normal retail pricing.
  • Product variety.Gillette has an extensive lineup of blades, but only three are available through this subscription service.
  • No shaving cream. You’ll still have to purchase your favorite shaving cream at the store.
  • No women’s razors. Gillette’s Venus razors are only available at the store, but there’s no rule preventing ladies from using razors made for guys. (Psst! They’re actually less expensive!)

Bottom line

Gillette is known to delivers a quality shave. Now you can get that same quality shave delivered right to your door with just a few clicks or by shooting off a text. And automatic deliveries mean you never have to remember to place an order when you need new blades. While it would be nice to also be able to order shaving cream, gel or Gillette’s deluxe Venus blades, having Gillette finally join the world of “razors by mail” is a convenient step in the right direction.
