Once you follow the link that’s been emailed to you, you’ll be asked to select one of the plans above. Once you’ve chosen your payment plan you will be required to enter your personal and payment information to finalize the account setup.

Setting up Getflix on your many devices is where gets a little tricky. Luckily, Getflix supplies setup guides for every compatible device.

What operating systems can you use Getflix on?

Getflix was made for streaming and won’t waste any time letting you know much else. If that’s all you’re after, Getflix is a reasonably simple and easy to use service (though setup can be a pain). However, if you’re after a more comprehensive, more secure service, you might want to look elsewhere. There’s also the ongoing legal attention from Netflix. If Getflix folds, there’s no guarantee you can get your money back if you’ve invested in the 12 or 24 month commitment.

What is a VPN and how does it work?

A VPN works by pushing the data we transmit through an encrypted “tunnel”. Security features, like a firewall between the client and host server, stop eavesdroppers and hackers from viewing our personal data that may be vulnerable when using a public network.

What is encryption?

Data travelling from one source to another is often encrypted in a particular way that only the computer receiving it can recognize.

There are many different uses for a VPN. Consumer use and corporate uses differ greatly (more on that here), but most consumers use a VPN either to protect sensitive information or to mask their IP address.
