Games Done Quick, the organization behind the popular Awesome Games Done Quick and Summer Games Done Quick speedrunning events held every year, has announced it’ll be hosting Harvey Relief Done Quick this weekend to raise money for the victims of Hurricane Harvey.

Starting on Saturday 2 September and continuing through to Monday 4 September, the stream will feature speedrunners from around the world streaming themselves racing and glitching their way through games in support of relief efforts in Texas.

For all the stigma still attached to gaming, it’s moments likes these where it’s easy to feel pride in the importance of this industry.

In other streaming news, Shout! Factory TV is currently streaming the entire run of the arcade show Starcade on its Twitch channel.
