Plus, the airline just launched 16 new routes for nonstop travel from $39.

Use the promo code SAVE50 for 50% off domestic travel, thanks to the Frontier Airlines flash sale — happening right now. The code is valid on flights scheduled Monday through Thursday and Saturdays, departing through May 21st this year.

This sale expires on Thursday, so book fast to get the deal.

  • Frontier is waiving change and cancellation fees on all tickets purchased by February 28th.

Blackout dates

The sale doesn’t apply to flights on these dates:

    • 2/11
    • 2/12
    • 2/15
    • 3/12 to 3/14
    • 3/26 to 4/5
    • To and from Las Vegas only: 2/6

How to actually get the deal

Frontier is a bit notorious for advertising super cheap rates, but when it comes time to apply the promo code, finding an eligible route can be frustrating. Here’s how we hacked it:

  • Select one-way when conducting a search. You may need to book two one-way flights, rather than one roundtrip, to get the best deal.
  • Double check the blackout dates. Since Frontier’s flight schedule can be a bit irregular, be sure you’re paying close attention to days when the sale doesn’t apply.
  • Remember that the promo only applies to the base fare. Some of its lowest rates consist mostly of taxes and fees, so that 50% off may only save you a few bucks.

Still, budget hunters can score fantastic deals. Just be sure to travel light, since you’re only allowed one personal item on Frontier flights, and carry-ons start at about $34.

16 new routes from $39 nonstop

Frontier just released 13 new domestic routes and three new international routes for nonstop travel to sunny destinations — perfect for that spring break getaway you’ve been craving. These low rates, which all cost less than $100, are for one-way flights from March 7th to May 26th this year.

We imagine that folks in snowy Ohio, New Jersey, Minnesota or Rhode Island could use a sunny escape to Florida or the Southwest right about now. These low rates can also help you save big on cross-country trips from Vegas to Tampa or San Diego to Orlando. Book a socially-distanced vacation by staying at a secluded rental home or cabin, or simply lay on the beach for oodles of fresh ocean air.

Traveling during the COVID-19 pandemic
If you plan to travel during the pandemic, monitor and understand the risk assessment levels for your destination when planning your trip, before departure and on arrival. Follow safety measures that include wearing a mask in public settings, maintaining social distancing and washing your hands. If you are diagnosed, have symptoms of or are waiting for test results for COVID-19 — or are otherwise at risk of illness — do not host, attend gatherings or travel for 14 days. Note that the CDC warns against cruise travel at this time.
