What is Feg?
FEG, also known as “Feed Every Gorilla”, is a hyper-deflationary cryptocurrency associated with the FEGex ecosystem. Built to support both the Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain (BSC) blockchains, FEGex is a multi-chain decentralized exchange (DEX) that offers a plethora of decentralized finance-based applications.
According to the project’s whitepaper, FEGex is aiming to build the “Google” of the DeFi ecosystem.
From a functional standpoint, FEGex features a SmartSwap exchange framework, fWrapping, staking, an auto-deployer for listing new tokens, and gas rebates. Most recently the project has developed a cryptocurrency launchpad platform known as SmartDeFi that offers users protection against notorious rug pulls and other crypto-based scams. In addition to these services, the project also plans to expand its DEX and add interoperability with five other blockchains in the short-term future, enabling cross-chain transfers and liquidity providing in networks such as Avalanche (AVAX), Polygon (MATIC), and Fantom (FTM).
The platform is governed by its native cryptocurrency, the FEG token. The token is designed to be hyper-deflationary in nature with a 2% transaction tax charged for all transactions. The 2% transaction tax is then equally split between token holders and the ecosystem’s burn wallet. Token holders can earn additional rewards from staking and can use the token to vote on platform development proposals.
