Expert review

The Expedia® Rewards CARD from Citi is tailored to those who book their trips through Expedia. A decent signup bonus and Citibank perks round out the card — and it’s all available at no annual fee.

The perks

  • Expedia reward points.
Earn 3x points on Expedia purchases, such as flights, hotels, activities and travel packages. As an Expedia +blue member, you’ll earn this on top of the 2x base points on hotels, activities, packages, cars and cruises and 1 point on every $5 you spend on flights. All other purchases earn 1x points.
  • Signup bonus.
Spend $1,000 on purchases in your first 3 months of card membership and earn 15,000 bonus points. According to the Citi site as of January 2019, these are worth $200 when you redeem them for VIP Access™ Hotels or $100 when you use toward other travel bookings.

Want to earn more Expedia points?

Book your travel through the Expedia mobile app and earn more base points.

You’ll also like …

  • No annual fee.
Enjoy all perks and benefits without paying an annual fee for the card.
  • Expedia silver status.
By being cardmember, you enjoy silver status. This comes with additional benefits, including exclusive amenities at more than 2,000 VIP Access Hotels, more bonus points on your stays, priority customer care and dedicated local concierge at select locations.
  • Citi concierge and Citi Entertainment℠.
Save time and call Citi concierge service for help with dining arrangements, buying tickets and more. Also, as a Citi cardmember, you enjoy special purchasing access for tickets to sporting events, dining experiences and movie screenings.

What to watch out for?

  • Foreign transaction fee.
This may not be a good traveling companion outside of the US — you’ll pay 3% of the transaction every time you swipe.
  • Penalty APR.
If you make a single late or returned payment, Citi may impose a penalty APR of up to 29.99% variable. Once incurred, it can last indefinitely.
  • No intro APR period.
You’re starting with a variable APR of 14.99% to 22.99% right off the bat. If you’re looking to save money on interest, consider getting a 0% intro APR credit card.
