If your home is already equipped with the latest smart devices and gadgets, a new Eight Sleep mattress could fit right in. These smart mattresses allow you to track and improve your sleeping habits, control your sleep temperature and more.
But Eight Sleep beds aren’t available in twin sizes, and some advanced features require a paid membership to the brand’s 8PLUS subscription.
|Saturn||The most affordable Eight Sleep mattress, it has three layers of premium foam for medium-firm comfort.|
|Jupiter||The most popular mattress of the bunch, it has four layers of reactive foam and a medium firmness level.|
|Mars||Eight Sleep’s most expensive option, this hybrid mattress is made of sleeved coils and three layers of soft foam for a medium-soft firmness.|
If you get a standard Saturn mattress without the smart cover, a twin costs $349. On the higher end, a smart Mars mattress costs $1,599 for a king or California king. Note that twin-sized smart mattresses are not available, so if that’s the size you need, you’ll have to go with the standard model.
Pay for your Eight Sleep order on its secure checkout page using any major credit card, PayPal or Affirm financing.
Yes. Select the Affirm button at checkout if you’d like to apply for instant approval without affecting your credit score. Interest rates vary from 0% to 30% APR over terms of six to 24 months.
All Eight Sleep models include premium memory foam designed to minimize motion transfer, contour to your body’s unique curves and provide a balanced mix of give and bounce. The Mars smart mattress also contains a layer of sleeved coils for a cloud-like bounce and optimal airflow.
You don’t need a box spring, but you can use one with your Eight Sleep mattress. According to its website, you can use any type of bed frame or foundation with these mattresses.
Eight Sleep mattresses come with a 10-year limited warranty, but our research shows that similar memory foam mattresses might realistically last around six years.
The company does not recommend flipping your Eight Sleep mattress, but you can rotate it head to tow every three months to prevent permanent indentations from forming where you sleep.
Note that twin and twin XL sizes are only available for standard mattresses — not smart mattresses.

Before you go to bed, ask Alexa to warm up your mattress to a toasty temperature, turn the lights off automatically when you get into bed or configure your smart coffee machine to start brewing when you wake up.
The vast majority of Eight Sleep online reviews are positive, with the most common issue being small inconveniences with the sleep tracking device, like needing to have your smartphone close by to use the alarm. Most customers seem to think that Eight Sleep is a pretty great mix of quality and value.

Eight Sleep and Helix are some of the most futuristic mattresses available online. While Helix doesn’t offer a nifty sleep tracker, it does let you take a short quiz about your sleeping habits before its system suggests the perfect mattress for you. Helix beds are also available with dual comfort levels, so you and your partner can customize each side of the bed. Eight Sleep’s smart mattress cover does let you control the temperature of each side, though.
Both brands come with a 100-night sleep trial, a 10-year warranty and financing options. Helix mattresses are priced right in between Eight Sleep’s Saturn and Jupiter models, at $995 for a queen size.
