Dollar Rent A Car’s promo codes don’t apply to prepaid rentals. Make sure the code is valid and applies to your rental details, such as location and dates.

Cancellation, refund and change policies

If you paid for your Dollar Rent A Car reservation online in advance, you’re subject to the following cancellation fees:

When you cancel What you’ll pay
Within 24 hours of booking No charge
More than 24 hours prior to pickup $50 fee
Less than 24 hours prior to pickup $100

You’ll be charged $10 to change the location and time of a prepaid reservation.

However, if you chose to pay later, you can cancel a reservation at any time without penalty — though this option costs more up front.

To make changes to or cancel your rental, go to Reservations and click View, Modify, Cancel. You can also call 866-434-2226.
