How to live stream La Liga football online in Germany

La Liga begins life without football superstar Lionel Messi this weekend. Here’s what you need to know.

Spain’s elite football competition, La Liga, begins life without superstar Lionel Messi this August. Messi left cash-stricken Barcelona for Paris Saint-Germain after his contract expired.

Messi’s loss will be felt, there’s no doubt, but the competition returns after a wonderful 2020/21 campaign which saw Atletico Madrid crowned champions over perennial champs and crosstown rivals Real Madrid.

Real Madrid has a new manager in the form of Italian Carlo Ancelotti, who managed English Premier League side Everton last season. He replaces French great Zinadine Zidane.

This campaign is the 91st in La Liga. The competition is played between 20 clubs who each play a total of 38 matches from August through to May. The title looks again to be a race between Atletico, Real Madrid and the aging squad Barcelona this season.

This is how you can watch La Liga in Germany.
