How to live stream NFL online in Germany in 2021

Are you ready for some football? The NFL is back and this is how you can catch it your way in Germany.

Tom Brady’s decision to part ways with the New England Patriots and link up with Tampa Bay – bringing Rob Gronkowski with him – was the lead story in a 2020 off-season full of headlines. By the end of the season, the seemingly ageless Brady was celebrating an extraordinary seventh Super Bowl victory.

What lies ahead in 2021? What we do know is it will be packed with plenty more action, athleticism, big hits and drama. This is how to follow all the action.

How to watch NFL in Germany

It hasn’t always been easy to access NFL games in Germany. Thankfully NFL fans don’t have to rely solely on TV networks anymore, due to sports streaming services like DAZN and NFL Game Pass entering the market.

Deal

Stream DAZN for 30 days free and no lock-in contract

Take advantage of DAZN's 30-day FREE trial and stream live sport. Monthly and annual subscriptions available.

Watch the NFL on free-to-air TV

You can get access to a limited number of games in Germany via free-to-air television, which might be enough to satisfy casual fans. The ProSiebenSat1 group shows a small number of games and some additional NFL programming each week on its ProSieben, ProSiebenMaxx and Sat1 stations.

Stream the NFL live in Germany with DAZN

For far more comprehensive coverage of America’s biggest sport, you should consider a subscription to DAZN. Launching in Germany in 2016, it has access to Thursday night, Sunday night and Monday night football games live and all in HD. So you get four guaranteed live games per week.

Perhaps the jewel in DAZN’s NFL crown, it also has rights to the wildly popular NFL RedZone. With RedZone, you get seven hours of live Sunday night football action. The program cuts to any game when a team has reached the 20-yard line, known as the “red zone”. You get to see every single touchdown and a raft of other highlights as they happen.

DAZN also has NFL Network rolling 24/7, which also has live games, breaking news and loads of original content. If you are yet to try it out, DAZN has a full 30-day free trial for new users. After that, it is priced at just €11.99 per month or €119.99 for a discounted annual pass. You can use your subscription on two devices or screens at a time.

We have a detailed review of DAZN for you that includes all the additional sports it has to offer, such as the Bundesliga, UEFA Champions League, NBA and UFC, along with the compatible devices and more.

Watch games on NFL Game Pass

NFL Game Pass is a subscription streaming service with two options. There is a free subscription that has highlights, news, scores and additional content. For live games you need NFL Game Pass Pro, which has live streams and on-demand replays of every game and also has NFL RedZone.

There is currently a seven-day free trial of NFL Game Pass Pro. After that, it costs €163.99 for an annual pass, which you can pay once or in quarterly instalments of € 41. There is no monthly subscription option. While you get significantly more games with Game Pass than you do with DAZN, it is more expensive and lacks the vast library of additional sports.

A full NFL Game Pass subscription also unlocks the NFL video archives. It also has condensed versions of every match, cutting out commercials and stoppages for 30 minutes of pure football. NFL Games Pass can only be accessed on one device per account. For more details on subscription plans, eligible devices, content and more, head to the NFL Game Pass website.
