Like many sports, MotoGP was decimated by the coronavirus outbreak. The season-opening Qatar Grand Prix set for 8 March was cancelled. The schedule has since been totally revamped, with 13 races now planned instead of the original 20.

The Spanish GP at Jerez gets things re-started on 19 July and Spain is hosting 7 of the 13 races for 2020 at various tracks. The Czech Republic, Austria, San Marino and France are also hosting grands prix.

The new venues surely just make Spaniard Marc Márquez an even hotter favourite to add another title to his burgeoning collection. Márquez has won six of the past seven world championships on his Repsol Honda, including four straight.

Valentino Rossi is saddling up once more with Yamaha, while Andrea Dovizioso, Danilo Petrucci, Álex Rins and Maverick Viñales all enjoyed race wins in 2019. The championship is slated to conclude in Valencia with back-to-back races in November. If you’re eager to tune in, there’s plenty of coverage on both free-to-air and pay TV for you to enjoy. Here’s how you can watch MotoGP in Germany on TV or via live stream.
