Why is there a busy fee on my order?

When certain restaurants or areas of town have more people using Uber Eats than there are drivers available, a busy fee will added to your order. The fees are dynamic, coming and going depending on the supply and demand of a certain restaurant and area of town. When things level off, the fee will disappear entirely.

Is tipping my Uber delivery driver necessary?

Tipping is optional and can be done inside the Uber Eats app after the delivery is complete. Any funds you tip a driver are 100% theirs to keep, Uber Eats does not take out a percentage.

What do I do if I have food allergies and want to order from Uber Eats?

When you order from a restaurant on Uber Eats, you can use the “special instructions” field to include any allergy information and ask that ingredients be changed or removed from a dish. Restaurants are expected to reach out to you if they cannot accommodate your request, but you should consider giving them a ring as well, especially if your allergies are serious or life threatening.

How does Uber Eats compare to other takeout food delivery services in Dayton?

Grubhub is almost non-existent in Dayton, with only three restaurants participating. DoorDash came to Dayton about two months ahead of Uber Eats and hit the ground running with 689 restaurants to chose from between Dayton and Cincinnati, which is about 54 miles south. Another option in Dayton is the locally-owned Kate’s Plate, which offers local, organic meals prepared and delivered by dinner time.
