Crazy Defense Heroes (CDH) is a traditional free-to-play mobile game that's part of the "Tower Experiment" initiative, which will soon release a play-to-earn version powered by blockchain technology.
Discover how you can start earning TOWER tokens as you battle formidable foes in CDH.
Crazy Defense Heroes (CDH) is a hugely successful strategy tower defense mobile game that's amassed over 2 million downloads. The title is a sequel and part of the Crazy Kings (CK) game franchise.
Crazy Defense Heroes serves as the basis for an upcoming tower defense blockchain game that's built on the Polygon network, which will utilize NFTs and TOWER — an ERC-20 token — in a play-to-earn gaming ecosystem.
To start playing, assemble a battle deck from over 400 cards — which are not NFTs in the current mobile version — and battle fearsome hordes of fantasy creatures across 1,000 fun-filled levels in the realm of Evils.
Each level is typically cleared in a few minutes, but it'll get progressively harder. So make sure to select the right cards and adjust your strategy to increase your chances of winning.
Conquering higher stages mean attaining better loot and unlocking rarer cards with different utilities. These cards are classified into various types, such as battle tower, instant weapons, support heroes and your main avatar.
Check out the official trailer for Crazy Defense Heroes.
TOWER is the native utility token used within the Crazy Defense Heroes game as the basis for all the ecosystem's transactions and interactions. It's built on the Ethereum blockchain and is currently valued at $0.004678, according to CoinMarketCap on June 8, 2022.
Players use TOWER in three ways:
Find an exchange to buy, sell and trade TOWER by comparing deposit methods, supported fiat currencies and fees. Select Go to site to sign up directly with the provider.
As Crazy Defense Heroes has yet to be a full-fledge blockchain game, the P2E features are somewhat limited at the time of writing. However, there are exclusive monthly events allowing players to earn TOWER tokens for their gaming efforts, such as the "Daily Star Chest" event.
Here's how you can earn TOWER from this special monthly event:
Aside from the daily battles and calendar check-in, you'll also need to meet the following criteria:
The rewards for each qualifying player are a shared amount of TOWER Tokens from a total reward pool, which may vary from month to month. For example, 1.8 million TOWER tokens were allocated in May 2022.
The exact amount of TOWER you earn depends on the number of players who meet the required monthly XP criteria. This reward is airdropped to your MetaMask wallet within two weeks after the month's end.
Cards are the key gameplay components in the Crazy Kings franchise, each representing defensive structures, heroes, unique spells and equipment that are strategically used to prevent hordes of enemies from reaching your base.

Each Game Card is a non-fungible, ERC-20 token that comes in various levels of power and rarity and is upgradable to ensure long-term progression. There are currently four rarity tiers:
For now, you can only buy and sell Crazy Defense Heroes NFTs on OpenSea.io, a secondary marketplace for trading NFTs. The current floor price for a Crazy Defense Heroes Card is 0.49 ETH.
In May 2021, Animoca Brands held two official TOWER Chest Sales, limited to 650 chests per round, in three tiers — Bronze, Silver and Gold — each containing three random TOWER Game Card NFTs.
The TOWER project also launched a series of NFT sales on Binance NFT on November 5, 2021, which includes TOWER Tickets and TOWER Mystery Boxes.
While these NFTs are not yet utilized in the Crazy Defense Heroes game, they have paved the way for the upcoming blockchain game.

Once the blockchain version of the game is launched, additional Crazy Kings franchise cards will be minted as NFTs and available for purchase with TOWER. In addition to being in-game assets and collectibles, all these NFTs are stakable to passively generate TOWER.
Currency, you can only sell your Crazy Defense Heroes NFTs on OpenSea.io.
Typically, selling an owned NFT on the secondary market requires a few simple steps:
Most secondary marketplaces charge a marketplace fee and take a percentage of the final sale price — OpenSea takes 2.5% on each transaction. Additionally, there may be gas fees for listing an NFT, depending on your chosen marketplace.
The developer and publisher for Crazy Defense Heroes is Animoca Brands, a Hong Kong-based game software company and venture capital company founded 2014.
Animoca Brands is a leader in the field of digital entertainment, blockchain, and gamification. The company also has a broad portfolio of products and multiple subsidiaries, including The Sandbox, Blowfish Studios, GAMEE, Pixowl, nWay, Quidd, Bondly, Lympo, and Grease Monkey Games.
As of June 8, 2022, the blockchain version of the TOWER project — which is based on the Crazy Defense Heroes (CDH) mobile game — has yet to be released and final gameplay details haven't been announced. However, players can expect its core gameplay to be similar to Crazy Defense Heroes, which is a relatively straightforward strategy game.
But before getting started with Crazy Defense Heroes, keep in mind that the floor prices for its NFTs are rather steep on the secondary market. Also, the game card NFTs can only be used in the upcoming blockchain version.
At the time of writing, the actual blockchain version of the TOWER project — which will be on PC — is still in the works. So players can only earn TOWER tokens from monthly cumulative events by playing the current version of Crazy Defense Heroes available on both the App Store and Google Play.
If you already own Crazy Defense Heroes NFTs or are looking to buy from the secondary market, they'll only be useable in the upcoming blockchain version of the game.
On the bright side, getting your feet wet in the current version of Crazy Defense Heroes allows you to gain invaluable insight into the game's mechanics, familiarize yourself with the battle card system and polish up your defense strategies. So you'll have less figuring out to do when the blockchain version goes live — while filling up your bags with TOWER tokens.
