If you’re looking for your way home to a perfect mattress and want it delivered right to your door, Loom & Leaf and Casper are two top brands to check out. While both companies offer an affordable foam mattress that’ll ship to your door for free, their trial period, warranty and white-glove delivery fees may stop you in your tracks.
Casper launched in 2014 as Casper Sleep, and it’s been on the up and up ever since. Though plenty of other brands like it abound, Casper remains one of the more popular and financially successful online mattress companies around.Buy everything from your new mattress to your dog’s new bed from Casper, plus sheets, pillows, mattress protectors, bed frames and even a subscription to its magazine, Woolly. Casper offers three mattress models, each made of varying layers of foam. The Wave, its newest and most expensive model, includes an extra layer of high-resiliency gel to help your body contour to your bed.
Loom & Leaf and Casper both offer financing options to help make your new bed as affordable as possible. However, Casper uses the online lender, Affirm and Loom & Leaf uses Klarna, so you might notice some slight differences in the financing details.

Loom & Leaf and Casper both offer free shipping to US customers. Loom & Leaf also throws in free white-glove delivery with every mattress order, meaning they’ll bring your mattress to your bedroom, set it up for you and remove your old mattress. If you want this service from Casper, it’ll cost an extra nonrefundable $149.
You’ll have 20 extra risk-free sleeps on a Loom & Leaf mattress than a Casper, although Casper still offers a generous 100-night trial.
Casper also lets you return all items for free, except for the optional $149 white-glove delivery fee. While Loom & Leaf advertises free returns, you’ll be charged a flat rate of $99 for transportation if you decide to send your mattress back.
Loom & Leaf doesn’t have quite as many online reviews as some other top online mattress brands, but the customer reviews that we found are overwhelmingly positive. For one, most customers find this mattress to be downright comfortable and luxurious, but without the luxury price tag. Loom & Leaf also offers two firmness levels, which seems to give this mattress an edge over some of its competition.
Casper gets top-notch reviews for its hassle-free ordering, delivery, shipping and returns systems, as well as stellar customer service that’s hard to beat. Although some customers say that the Casper mattress sinks in more than they thought, many others have found that it’s a slightly softer alternative to other foam mattresses that are too hard and create pressure points for side sleepers.
Both Loom & Leaf and Casper get rave reviews for their outstanding customer service efforts. We were able to instantly chat with a customer service representative online for both companies and received answers to our questions lickity split!
Around the web, customers seem to be more than pleased with the ease of the delivery and returns processes for both companies, although Loom & Leaf does take a bit longer on average to arrive than Casper.
Don’t think Casper or Loom & Leaf are the right fit for you? Expand your search to include other popular online mattress brands like Purple, Tuft & Needle and Nest. These brands offer similar mattresses at similar price points, but with their own twists.
Your dreams are in good hands with both Casper and Loom & Leaf. If you’re looking for a longer trial period and warranty, Loom & Leaf might be your best bet. On the other hand, Casper offers one of the most affordable mattress models around, as well as a higher-end luxury-type model that’s still cheaper than most in-store mattress retailers.
