The Costco Anywhere Visa® Business Card by Citi doesn’t have an annual fee, but you must have a Costco membership. If you don’t shop at Costco at all but still want the card, the card’s annual fee is effectively $60 or $120 a year — the price of a membership .
  • Consider whether you need an intro APR.

Frequently asked questions

Are there cards that offer better rewards rate on gas?
With the PenFed Platinum Rewards Visa Signature® Card, you’ll earn 5x points on gas at the pump, giving you a 5% rewards rate. Among gas-station cards, the Chevron and/or Texaco Techron Advantage Visa® Card is a strongchoice. If you can reach its 20-cents-per-gallon rate on fuel rewards, you can earn a rewards rate even higher than 5%.

Do most cashback cards have annual fees?
Many cashback cards have no annual fees. However, you might pay an annual fee for a card that offers market-leading cash back. For example, for powerful cash back on groceries read our review on the Blue Cash Preferred® Card from American Express — but you’ll pay a $95 annual fee (Terms apply, see rates & fees) starting the second year.

Is it common for providers to charge penalty APRs?
It’s more common than you might think. Citi and American Express are two providers who often charge penalty APRs. Other providers tend to have fewer cards with penalty APRs, but they may still charge penalty rates on select products.
