Cocos-BCX is a platform focused on the development of GameFi and the metaverse. Marketed as a “GameFi enabler”, the project aims to encourage creators to utilise blockchain technology for the development of decentralized finance (DeFi) gaming projects.
This is achieved via a range of investments, incubation modules, and initial game offerings (IGOs).
According to the project’s documentation, all aspects of the ecosystem are run using the native CocosChain, which runs via a Delegated-Proof-of-Stake (DPoS) algorithm. The Cocos Blockchain Expedition (Cocos-BCX) is then a full-stack solution that allows developers to build and create gaming economies within the ecosystem. In addition to the full-stack development solution, the platform is composed of a launchpad, mystery box module, staking module, and marketplace. Games that have been developed and launched from Cocos-BCX include SnakeJoy and CocosShooter.
COCOS is the native utility token of the Cocos-BCX project. The token is the primary medium of exchange within the ecosystem and is required for all transactions that take place on the CocosChain. Token holders can also stake the COCOS token to support the blockchain, earn rewards, and vote on future development proposals.
