Both Chirofoam mattresses are made of four layers of foam and topped with a breathable cotton cover. The XF model has a layer of extra-firm foam, while the same layer in the Original Luxury mattress is slightly on the softer side.
Nope. Chirofoam can be used on just about any solid surface, including box springs, a slatted foundation and even the floor.
The company offers a 15-year limited warranty on its mattresses. Our research shows that the average foam mattress can last anywhere from six to 10 years before it might need to be replaced.
There’s no need to flip your Chirofoam mattress, as it’s designed with each layer in a specific order. But the company does recommend that you rotate your mattress 180 degrees every two to three months to help it wear evenly.
The Original Luxury and XF models are both available in these sizes:
Twin | Twin XL | Full | Queen | King | California King |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
39″ x 75″ x 12″ | 39″ x 80″ x 12″ | 54″ x 75″ x 12″ | 60″ x 80″ x 12″ | 76″ x 80″ x 12″ | 72″ x 84″ x 12″ |
A twin-sized XF Chirofoam mattress costs $540, compared to $690 for a twin Original Luxury. A California king XF is regularly priced at $940, while the same size Luxury model costs $1,090.

Both Chirofoam mattress are designed with five key features aimed at helping to relieve pressure points while you sleep, thus reducing back pain. Each layer of foam is included for a specific purpose, whether to add vital lumbar support, help cushion pressure points or improve airflow for a cooler night’s rest.
The company also partners with Sleeping Children Around the World (SCAW), a charitable organization headquartered in Toronto whose mission is to provide every child around the world with a comfortable place to sleep. With every purchase of a Chirofoam mattress, the company donates a bedkit to a child in need.
Reviews for Chirofoam mattresses are currently limited to its own website, which boasts a 97% satisfaction rate. The majority of the reviews on the Chirofoam website state that the mattress has helped customers find relief from back pain and get a better night’s rest. Some customers say that the mattress takes a few weeks to adjust to, but is worth the adjustment period.
There are only a handful of negative reviews on the Chirofoam website. While one customer found the mattress to be too soft and not supportive enough, another found it to be too firm.
Both Chirofoam and the AS2 by Amerisleep offer added support to help relieve back pain and other aches caused by pressure points while you sleep. Both of these beds are constructed of layers of foam designed to offer support and comfort. Chirofoam mattresses have four layers of foam, while AS2 has three.
Chirofoam’s Original Luxury mattress typically runs around $300 cheaper than the regularly-priced AS2, although Amerisleep does frequently have sales events. The AS2 cover contains thermoreactive minerals to help make your dreams cooler and comfier, while Chirofoam uses a breathable cotton cover and gel-infused memory foam to serve the same purpose.
If you’re looking for a supportive bed built with back pain sufferers in mind, both of these options are worth a look. Chirofoam tends to be the more budget-friendly option, though.
If you struggle with chronic back pain and are looking for a blend of mattress support and pressure point relief, Chirofoam is a mid-range option that’s worth considering.
But if you’re just beginning your search for a new bed, you might want to compare a few other online mattress brands first to make sure you’re getting the best value, sleep trial, warranty and return options.
