Who is eligible
The main cardholder and immediate family members are covered with lost luggage reimbursement.
What is included
Chase reimburses the costs you incur to repair or replace your checked baggage, carry-on baggage and personal property within the baggage during a common carrier covered trip.
What isn’t included
You won’t be reimbursed for documents or valuable papers, money, securities, tickets, checks, traveler’s checks or furs.
You are covered up to $3,000 per insured person per covered trip. Reimbursement of jewelry, watches and electronics cannot exceed $500 within the maximum coverage amount of $3,000.
When to file
You must report the damage or the loss of your luggage to the common carrier right after exiting the carrier. You will need proof that you submitted a report to the carrier if you are to get reimbursed from Chase.
File a written claim within 20 days after the occurrence. You will receive a claim form. Submit a completed claim form with the required supporting documents within 90 days from the date of occurrence.
