Here’s how to set up and use Disney+ on your Apple TV.
You can install the Disney+ app on fourth or fifth generation Apple TV devices.
The most recent Apple TV, released in September 2017, supports 4K content, so you can watch Disney+ content at a higher resolution if your TV supports it. Previous generation Apple TVs support HD content, so you can still enjoy content on a big screen.
Launch the App Store on your Apple TV and search for the Disney+ app. Once you’ve found the app, click the “Install” button using your Apple TV remote.
Once the app is installed you can launch it. If you have already created a Disney+ account, you can log in and head straight to step 4.
If you haven’t already set up an account, you can do so from the app.
Disney+ no longer has a free trial, so you’ll need to sign up to watch. You can sign up for a subscription for 12.90 CHF per month, and if you’re really committed to Disney+, you can get a full year’s access for 129.00 CHF.
Once your account is set up, you can log in through the Apple TV app and start browsing Disney+’s extensive library. This includes classic and reimagined Disney hits, Pixar animations, most of the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the curious omission of Spider-Man, Star Wars including with upcoming series, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and documentaries from National Geographic.
Once you’re logged in and have chosen your preferred viewing fare, sit back, relax and enjoy the show.
