Cardi B is a music and Internet sensation. Her fans love her over-the-top sense of style and her popular music. When she dropped her latest album, Invasion of Privacy a few days ago, it went gold in less than 24 hours.
The millennial rapper has made quite a name for herself and she hasn’t been shy about sharing her budget-friendly shopping tips with more than 20 million of her closest Instagram fans. Like any 20-something urbanite, she loves wearing the latest trends and always looking like a walking fashion statement.
However, unlike some irresponsible young celebrities who quickly blow their entire fortune, Cardi shops at affordable brands like Fashion Nova to fill out her closet. She’s always repping the brand on social media.
Cardi B is always giving Fashion Nova love, so it makes sense that the two are creating a collection together. The rapper’s style meshes well with Fashion Nova’s aesthetic.
She’s even said that Fashion Nova clothes are one of the only things that fit her unique body and curves well. It’s great to hear a curvy woman like Cardi endorsing Fashion Nova, since it’s always a struggle for women to find clothes that fit well.
Although it’s not totally clear what the new collection will include, Cardi B will have a hand in all the designs. “With FashionNova, they gave me the opportunity to design what I like and what I want to put out and I’m gonna put out a line with them, a little something-something,” she said in an interview with Apple Music Beats.
We aren’t sure exactly what a little something-something is yet, but we can’t wait to find out.
Celeb collab collections are becoming more and more popular and we imagine Cardi will be doing something similar to what Zendaya did with Boohoo recently. Of course, the queen of extra-ness will add her own special flair and style. “It’s gonna be crazy because it’s what I like,” Cardi B said.
