About the provider “Serving America since 1928,” Farmers is one of the top names in car insurance with close to 20 million policies throughout all of America. With several different types of insurance to choose from, Farmers aims to insure that customers have peace of mind with its award-winning Farmers Claim Services. Founded in 1991, Direct Auto Insurance offers low-cost insurance policies to “nonstandard” drivers — also known as high-risk drivers — who might have a hard time finding coverage elsewhere. But beware, the company gets very poor reviews and only services 13 states.
