Both insurers earn similar scores for customer satisfaction. Esurance gets an “A+” from the Better Business Bureau, and Farmers gets an “A-.” Unfortunately, you may be less than impressed with either company’s claims process. Both received a three-out-of-five score from J.D. Power.
Perhaps more impressive is the discounts you may qualify for. Both insurers offer good-student and good-driver discounts. Farmers, in particular, offers a few innovative promotions like distant-student and youthful-driver discounts.
Esurance and Farmers have generous vehicle promotions, such as anti-theft, anti-lock and passive-restraint discounts.
