Zelle is known for transferring money nearly instantly between users who have US bank accounts that support Zelle integration.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"u-grid\"><div class=\"u-grid__col u-1\/2@s\"><h4>Why should I use Zelle?<\/h4><ul class=\"list-1\"><li><b>Integrates with hundreds of banks.<\/b> Zelle is partnered with more than 500 banks in the United States. Users who can access Zelle through their banking app probably won\u2019t need to download other money transfer apps.<\/li><li><b>Instant transfers.<\/b> Transfers between two supported banks typically happen within minutes.<\/li><li><b>No fees.<\/b> Zelle is free, so sending money to other Zelle users doesn\u2019t cost anything.<\/li><li><b>Convenience.<\/b> Users only need a phone number or email to send money to other Zelle users.<\/li><\/ul><\/div><div class=\"u-grid__col u-1\/2@s\"><h4>What should I watch out for with Zelle?<\/h4><ul class=\"list-12\"><li><b>US only.<\/b> Both the sending and receiving bank accounts must be in the US to use Zelle.<\/li><li><b>Only supports bank accounts.<\/b> Zelle doesn\u2019t accept credit card payments.<\/li><li><b>Smartphone required.<\/b> If banks support it, some users may be able to use Zelle through online banking. Zelle sends recipients a text or email once a payment is waiting for them. If the recipient\u2019s bank supports Zelle, they can accept the payment through their bank app. Otherwise, the recipient uses a link provided by Zelle to accept the payment to a debit card.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><p>Unlike Google Pay and other competitors, there is no escrow or intermediary period where the money is held by Zelle. Instead, money moves directly from senders\u2019 bank accounts to recipients\u2019 accounts in as little as a few seconds.
