Then I compared this with the 18 other apps I tested.<\/p><p><strong>The verdict:<\/strong> If you are sending a few hundred dollars to high-competition corridors like India, specialists like Pesa and Paysend may beat Wise on price. However, for transfers of $1,000+ or less popular routes, Wise remains a legitimate contender.<\/p><p>For example, for a <strong>$200 send to India<\/strong>, Wise\u2019s cheapest option had a cost markup of <strong>1.64%<\/strong>. Western Union\u2019s was 1.47%, Xe\u2019s was 2.51%, Pesa\u2019s was 0.53%, and Paysend\u2019s was 0.39%.
