Written and directed by Lee Isaac Chung, Minari is semi-autobiographical take on Chung's upbringing. The plot follows a family of South Korean US immigrants who move to rural Arkansas in the 80s and start a farm.

Searching for the American dream, they have to face many challenges as they acclimate to their new surroundings. All throughout, however, the family’s powerful bond shines through.

With a solid cast and beautiful visuals, Minari is an endearing film about the resilience of family. The story is sweet and relatable, mostly thanks to Chung’s careful treatment of each character. Stream it when you want something that will sweep you off your feet.
