A Quiet Place Part II

A Quiet Place Part II

Year released

Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family (Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe) must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path in this terrifyingly suspenseful thriller written and directed by John Krasinski.

A Quiet Place came out in 2018 to universal acclaim from critics and viewers alike. Now, it’s time for the sequel to meet the high bar set by its predecessor. Thankfully, Part II delivers.

The movie is set in the same post-apocalyptic world invaded by alien creatures that have an acute sense of hearing. As a result, humans must be very quiet if they want to survive. This time around, the Abbott family has to leave the confines of their home and venture into the unknown looking for civilization. Evelyn, accompanied by her 2 young kids and newborn child, enters uncharted territory hoping for a miracle, while new threats lurk at every turn.

Riveting, clever and scary, A Quiet Place Part II might not be quite as fresh as the original, but it’s a worthy successor. The cast is still top-notch and the suspense will keep you glued to the screen. Watch it on the biggest screen possible.
