Essentially, Rogue One is the behind-the-scenes tale of how Star Wars‘ most famous “small moon” space station came to be. On the remote planet of Lah’mu, Death Star scientist Galen Erso lives under the radar with his wife and young daughter, Jyn.
Everything changes when a ladder-climbing Imperial officer named Orson Krennic rips him away from his beloved family. Decades later, Galen’s the lead engineer for the planet-killing super laser and Jyn has cast her lot in with a fledgling Rebel Alliance. They’ve sworn to thwart this WMD, no matter how high the personal cost may be.
