When it was on the air, Beverly Hills, 90210 was a phenomenon. Thanks to an attractive cast and exciting storylines, the melodrama quickly gained international acclaim and it remains one of the most defining shows of the 90s.
The series premiered in 1990 and lasted for 10 seasons, during which it chronicles the lives of a group of friends residing in the famous 90210 zip code. The show initially focuses on twins Brendon and Brenda, who move from Minnesota to Beverly Hills only to experience culture shock after entering the world of the rich and privileged. Eventually, the series expands its scope to include an ensemble cast and showcases the characters' friendships and romantic relationships as they transition from teenhood to adulthood. It addresses several serious topics as well like racism, teen suicide, teen pregnancy, eating disorders and more.
The main cast of this popular 90s show include Jason Priestley, Shannen Doherty, Jennie Garth, Luke Perry and Ian Ziering. A reboot titled simply later aired for five seasons, from 2008 to 2013. Beverly Hills, 90210 also spawned an entire franchise which includes titles like Melrose Place and Models, Inc.
