About TurboFlix
As the second half of their name might suggest, TurboFlix has one very specific streaming service it’s targeting (Can you guess what it is?). They’re all about you and your Netflix library, and making sure that you have access to just about everything that Netflix offer, anywhere in the world.
It’s an attractive offer, one that will appeal to many Canadian users. They even have a snappy, Michael Bay style trailer on their website that tells you everything you need to know about the service with a few glorious explosions thrown in for good measure.
TurboFlix pricing and plans
Here is the weird thing – TurboFlix pricing and plans aren’t actually listed on their website. But, they do show the prices for ‘gift plans,’ which we’ve listed below. The cost of a single month’s subscription is US$4.99.

What are the benefits of using TurboFlix?
If Netflix, Hulu, Amazon or any of the many other global video streaming sites protected by geo-blocking are what you’re after, then TurboFlix’s service is designed and marketed for you. TurboFlix is also available on a huge variety of devices, consoles and Smart TVs. That being said, nearly every VPN offers this service, compatibility and much more.
How do I setup TurboFlix?
Once registering for the free trial, TurboFlix will send you over an email with a link to the member’s page, where you’ll find user manuals. And, if you’re looking to set up Turboflix on consoles or mobile devices, then fear not, because the website also provides a ‘Setup Wizard’ for just about any device you can think of.
What operating systems can you use TurboFlix on?
TurboFlix will run on just about any gadget in your household. From games consoles, smart TVs, set-top boxes to Blu Ray players, and, of course, PCs and tablets.
TurboFlix pros and cons
Pro
- Tailored for the Netflix experience
- Good compatibility and setup guides for a vast range of devices, including iOS, Android and the often neglected Windows Phone.
Cons
- Legal trouble brewing between Netflix and TurboFlix
- Offers nothing that other, more reliable and trustworthy VPNs don’t already
- Website withholds important information
What is a VPN and how does it work?
A Virtual Private Network (VPN) is a simple internet application that, essentially, creates a private network just for you. It was originally created and is still used to allow businesses to access their internal computer system safely from external locations, but more recently private Internet users have also found a use for VPNs. A VPN masks Internet browsing by hiding your Internet Protocol (IP) address, behind another IP address, often in another region of the world. This allows for a safer internet experience, no tracking and (as the TurboFlix name might have given away) access to restricted content from around the world that is otherwise geo-blocked.
