What is the Olaplex No.6 Bond Smoother and how do you use it?
Olaplex just launched its newest product and we're here to break down exactly what it is.
Olaplex is back again with yet another new product to help your hair regain some health and shine to it. The brand is now a staple in many haircare routines because it’s just that damn good. Olaplex originated with the two in-salon treatments (No.1 and No.2), followed by the at-home treatment (No.3) and very recently launched a shampoo and conditioner duo (No.4 and No.5).
Now, the newest product to the brand’s line-up is the No. 6 Bond Smoother. The announcement post on the brand’s Instagram clocked up 34K likes with a multitude of shoppers commenting their excitement for the release.

What is it?
So let’s break down what the product actually is. It’s an at-home treatment, similar to the No.3 product from Olaplex. However, it’s entirely different. Why? Because the No. 6 Bond Smoother is a leave-in treatment, which is exactly why people have fallen head over heels for this product.
It’s both a styling product and a treatment, which makes it a standout from a multitude of products on the market. It’s also the only Olaplex product that’s meant to be used every single day.
The best part is this product can be used on all hair types! All of the Olaplex products are completely safe to use on natural hair as well as dyed or heat damaged hair. Same goes for the new product.
What does it do?
According to Olaplex, this product will “leave-in reparative styling cream that eliminates frizz, hydrates, and protects.” Basically, this product will aim to tame those flyaways and restore hydration to dry and damaged hair.
It contains the patented Olaplex solution that restores your hair’s health from the inside out. It also claims this product promises to not weigh down your hair which again, is another big tick. No.6 has a high concentration too, so a small amount of product is set to go a long way. The product is proven to speed up the blow-drying process and control those naughty flyaways for a whole 72 hours.
How to use it?
- Apply a pea-sized amount to damp or dry hair.
- Concentrate product on your mid-length to ends.
- Comb through and style as desired.
