The 2020 NRL grand final is here, with the Melbourne Storm aiming to add to their rich recent legacy with another title. Standing in their way is a Penrith Panthers side fiercely intent on creating its own history.
The 2020 NRL season was unlike any other before it due to the pandemic. At the end of 20 gruelling rounds and another 3 weeks of finals, we’re left with the top 2 sides on the NRL ladder.
The extraordinarily consistent Storm finished second with a smart 16-4 win-loss record. The only team to surpass that was the Panthers, who lost just once, with another draw, to go with 18 wins. The Penrith side is currently riding a 17-match winning streak, the second longest in the game’s history. The Roosters hold the record with 19 straight back in 1975.
If you are overseas you can watch the grand final, plus relive all the finals games and best contests from the 2020 campaign with Watch NRL.
Watch NRL is definitely your best bet to watch the NRL grand final from overseas. The cheapest subscription option is the NRL Grand Final Pass for $40, which gives you access to the service through to 1 November 2020. You could look at splitting the costs too if you are having a viewing party with some mates.
If you are after more access than just the decider, you can get an annual pass for $199. There was also a 2020 Finals Series Pass for $85, but with just Panthers vs Storm remaining a Grand Final Pass is all you need. All prices listed are in Australian dollars.

There are multiple international broadcasters that air the NRL. You can check them out here. Maybe there’s a bar you can track down that’s showing the match too, although we all know how quickly the price of food and drink can add up if you’re sitting at a bar for a few hours.
This year’s match will once again be played at ANZ Stadium in Sydney. Government restrictions mean only half the stadium can be filled, so there will be a maximum of 40,000 people in attendance. But that will still be enough to create a decent atmosphere, considering many global sports are still being staged behind closed doors.
Kick-off is scheduled for 7:30pm AEDT and there will also be plenty of entertainment apart from the big game itself. Australian singer Amy Shark is the headline act, while there are also tributes planned to this year’s retiring greats and rugby league legend Arthur Summons, who died in May this year.
Fans are able to stream the NRL grand final from overseas with a Watch NRL subscription. Watch NRL is powered by FOX SPORTS and is the only official Australian licensed product that gives access to all NRL matches and the State of Origin series from overseas.
