What products does sell?

Since 1932, LEGO has been manufacturing countless sets of colourful, connected bricks that have entertained generations of children. The website offers everything from basic brick collections to highly complex models and customizable “Pick a Brick” orders that let you choose the components you need to complete your own masterpiece.

Many popular movies, games and brands have partnered with LEGO to create special, collectable sets for superfans (think Marvel, Overwatch, Spider-Man, Toy Story and Star Wars). Although you can buy LEGOs from many different stores, only offers some sets on its website or at dedicated LEGO stores. Collectors won’t be able to get these special items anywhere else.

Shopping online vs shopping in-store

You’ll be able to find exclusive Boxing Day discounts both online and in-store at LEGO locations. There aren’t many dedicated LEGO stores in Canada, but you can visit a LEGO location if you live near certain major Canadian cities like Vancouver, Edmonton or Winnipeg.

Alternatively, you can shop in-store for LEGO products at retailers such as Toys R Us, Walmart, Indigo, Best Buy and Canadian Tire. You can also buy LEGO sets online from Amazon and eBay, which offer a wide variety of products that might be sold out at some LEGO stores.

What will be on sale during Boxing Day on

LEGO frequently offers free sets with purchases at or over a certain amount. You can also get bonus VIP rewards points when you buy select sets. Given that these types of deals are available year-round on, you can bet that deals on Boxing Day – one of the biggest retailer days of the year – will be even better. Free shipping is available for orders at or above $35 (before taxes), so be sure to bundle items to save on delivery.

Returns, exchanges and refunds for orders

You can return your unwanted purchases from within 90 days of purchase for a refund to the original payment method. You must have a Return Authorization Number or else the returns process will be delayed. Get a Return Authorization Number by phoning LEGO customer service at 1-800-835-4386 (available 7 days a week: 8am-10pm Mon-Fri, 10am-6pm Sat-Sun).

If it’s more convenient for you, sets valued under $250 can be returned to any LEGO store for store credit or a gift card. You must have your original packing slip or receipt.

Opened sets can only be exchanged or returned for merchandise credit, and you cannot return gift cards or customized orders like Pick A Brick sets.

Tips and tricks for shopping on Boxing Day

Here are some great tips and tricks to help you get the most you can out of this year’s Boxing Day sales:

  • Subscribe to Finder’s newsletter. Sign up to receive our newsletter and we’ll keep you in the loop with the very best deals on toys and games throughout the 2021 Boxing Day event.
  • Set yourself a budget and stick to it. Get your finances in order before planning a shopping spree. Take a look at your bank account and work out what you can afford to spend. Then keep yourself from taking on unnecessary debt by sticking to this amount.
  • Make a list. Before shopping, it’s always a good idea to purge broken, unused or unnecessary items from your home to make room for new items and help keep your space free of clutter. As you sort, take note of anything that you need or want. Doing so will help you stay focused as you shop, so you won’t be drawn into flash deals and discounts on products you don’t need.
  • Browse in advance. Before you buy, set aside some time to peruse the LEGO website. Look for the items you’re interested in, and add them to your virtual shopping cart in advance. With all your purchases ready to go, you can make sure your favourite items won’t be sold out when the sale begins. Plus, you can enjoy a speedy check-out process.
  • Do your research. There are a number of big players on the retail scene in Canada, and the same deals won’t be offered across all of them. Shop around to find out what discounts competing retailers are offering before buying from to avoid missing out on a better deal elsewhere.
