Where to buy GuildFi in Canada
It looks like GF may not be available to purchase on an exchange in Canada.
You can still purchase GF by using a decentralised exchange (DEX) instead. Decentralised exchanges are web applications that run on blockchains like Ethereum and allow users to trade any asset directly with one another.
Decentralised exchanges (DEX) are unregulated and run using autonomous pieces of code known as smart contracts. To use a DEX you must interact with the blockchain directly, which is not recommended for novice users. Please learn about decentralised exchanges first if you're unfamiliar.
How to purchase GF using a decentralised exchange.
- Find GF on a decentralised exchange and make sure GuildFi can be traded for ETH which is the native asset of Ethereum. Popular DEXs include Uniswap, SushiSwap and 1INCH.
- Buy ETH to trade for GF using an exchange like Ndax. You will need to purchase enough ETH to swap for GF as well as ETH to pay for transaction fees on the Ethereum network (known as gas). You can use a service like Etherscan to get an idea of how much gas fees currently cost.
- Transfer the ETH into a web 3.0 wallet like MetaMask to connect to the DEX.
- Trade ETH for GF on the DEX of your choice, following the instructions on screen. Make sure to leave enough ETH in your wallet to pay for gas.
- Wait for the transaction to finalise and the GF tokens will arrive in your wallet.
- You may now keep the tokens in your web 3.0 wallet or transfer them somewhere more secure like a hardware wallet.
You can follow the same process when you want to sell your tokens, or come back to this page to see if they can now be traded on an exchange in Canada.
Best GuildFi wallets to store your GF
You can keep your GF on the exchange you purchased it on, or move it to a personal wallet:
- Some people like to use their own wallets to guarantee total ownership over their assets, or to use them with other applications like DeFi services.
- Hardware wallets are typically considered to be the safest type of cryptocurrency wallet, as they use a physical device to enhance security in a number of ways. You can take a look at some of our top hardware wallet picks for self-custody of your GF below.

Is GuildFi a good investment?
The blockchain gaming industry continues to grow and new, unique projects are in development. However, cryptocurrencies are still extremely volatile assets and should be thoroughly evaluated for potential risks. Here are some key factors to consider before buying GF token:
- Adoption. The GuildFi developers have the grandiose vision of creating a streamlined platform for all blockchain-based gaming and metaverses. Such an ambitious goal will naturally require a high level of adoption – both in terms of the gaming community as well as developers. GuildFi have already partnered with popular gaming platforms like Axie Infinity and Cyball, and will need to continue adding new games and metaverse proponents to its library for it to be successful.
- Use-case. Those that wish to maximise their investment in GameFi can stake their GF tokens on the platform. Additionally, token holders are granted other benefits, such as early access to GameFi games, limited edition NFT and token airdrops. This is in conjunction with the general utility of GF tokens for interacting with the interoperable metaverse the GameFi platform intends to create.
- Guilds. The Guild Zone is the crux of GuildFi’s unique business model. Essentially, being a part of the GuildFi Guild allows users to borrow the expensive NFT assets required to get started in certain play-to-earn games. This removes the upfront costs and drastically improves accessibility. This is only the entry-level Guild concept, and GuildFi plans to construct a massive interconnected network of guilds for specific purposes – such as for RPG games, esports, borrowing NFT assets, and much more.
