Can I get a Disney Plus free trial?

Disney Plus is no longer offering a free trial. To watch Disney Plus shows and movies, you'll need a subscription.

Must read: As of June 19, 2020, Disney Plus is no longer offering a free trial. You can only view Disney Plus content by signing up for a monthly or annual subscription.

A new era for entertainment behemoth Disney began in November 2019. The highly anticipated streaming TV service Disney Plus hit the ground running with a stunning catalogue of over 800 TV shows and movies. While the service isn’t perfect, it was still great value for only $8.99 per month or $89.99 a year.

Eventually, however, the entertainment giant started to increase prices, motivated, in part, by the launch of adult content channel Star on February 23, 2021. These days, subscribers to Disney Plus pay $11.99 a month and $119.99 a year.

What if you want to watch Disney Plus for free?

Disney Plus used to offer a 7-day free trial, but that new subscriber freebie ended in June 2020. Now, the only way to stream Disney content is to sign up for a monthly or annual subscription.

So, is it worth signing up for the service? The entertainment giant has grown its streaming service library to more than 2,900 titles. While much of the Disney Plus content is classic — think old movies and cartoons — the streaming service also offers subscribers access to recent releases. These theatre blockbusters come from Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and, of course, Disney itself.

What makes the Disney Plus streaming service even better is the amount of original, exclusive content you can’t find anywhere else. For example, there’s the Star Wars TV series The Mandalorian, Marvel’s WandaVision and there is plenty more on the way.

How to sign up for Disney Plus

Signing up for a Disney Plus subscription is simple. Just follow these steps:

  1. Head over to the Disney Plus sign-up page.

You can change to the annual plan in the future if you want to keep the service on.
  3. On the next page, you need to enter your email address.
  4. You must then enter a strong password.
  5. You will need to enter your credit card details to proceed.
  6. If you’re not a fan of the service or the content, follow these steps to cancel your account, preferably before your next billing cycle.
