History of Gauntlets Collection

Gauntlets is an NFT collection of 10,000 unique superhero Gauntlets. Created by BossLogic, the tokens grant access to VerseU, a metaverse game experience where your Gauntlet NFT can give you additional powers or abilities depending on its rarity. All 10,000 Gauntlets have been minted with an original price of 0.269 ETH, and they are now available on OpenSea, a secondary marketplace.

All Gauntlets have been revealed since the mint, and each has its own unique features and traits that aid players once they enter the Boss Logic Universe. Gauntlets are still early into their roadmap, with the designer’s long-term goal being the release of their own Play-to-Earn (P2E)game. However, before then, surprises have included airdrops and a collection of 10,000 avatars that pair with Gauntlet NFTs once minted.

How to buy Gauntlets on OpenSea

The all-time average price of Gauntlets is 0.380 ETH ($855), so expect to pay around that cost to secure an NFT in the Gauntlets collection:
  1. Fund your wallet with cryptocurrency to buy your NFT.
Most NFTs on OpenSea are bought and sold using Ether, the native crypto on the Ethereum blockchain. Make sure you have enough ETH in your wallet to cover the cost of the NFT and any related fees, like gas. If you're a bit short, compare ways to buy ETH to reload your wallet.
  2. Find your NFT on OpenSea
OpenSea has hundreds of thousands of NFTs listed, so consider looking through collections to help narrow down the selection.
  3. Transfer ETH to a web3 wallet
MetaMask is a popular web3 wallet option, and our guide on MetaMask has detailed instructions on how to make the transfer.
  4. Buy your Gauntlets NFT
When you're ready to make your purchase, click the "Buy Now" button on the specific NFT you're interested in. OpenSea will show you the total cost, including fees, and after purchasing be sure to approve the transaction in your MetaMask wallet.

Evaluating Gauntlets Collection

Gauntlets have a lot to consider before getting involved:

While there are many NFT projects that grant access to a future P2E game, not all of them were created by BossLogic, a well-known artist and art director for all things superhero who has created some of the hottest artwork in the entertainment industry.

His most famous work has been done through his collaboration with Marvel, but he has also published his illustrations in other comic books and via various forms of mainstream entertainment. All of this has led him to work with Gauntlets to help create their collection of 10,000 Gauntlet NFTs and give his community an introduction to the space of digital art and P2E gaming.

When Gauntlets were launched, BossLogic personally hid three “golden ticket” NFTs in the mint, with the tickets being redeemable for a Gauntlet created by BossLogic himself, as well as a limit of one mint per wallet to impede bots and flippers. This demonstrates a commitment to community involvement and fair participation by the Gauntlets NFT team.

The NFTs themselves can be distinguished by a variety of features, such as accessories, background, weapons, color schemes, and effects like flames and lighting.

Key Considerations

If you’re thinking of adding a Gauntlet to your digital art collection, consider the properties that distinguish it from the rest of the set before finalizing your purchase. The following properties can vary when comparing Gauntlets, meaning each is unique and prices will vary depending on the features you want your NFT to possess.

The color of your Gauntlet NFT can be customised in several ways, including its background, base color, and finger color, which are available as the following:

  • Blue
  • Purple
  • Black
  • Gray
  • Green
  • Yellow
  • Red
  • Gold
  • Orange
  • White
  • Pink
  • Psychedelic, Purple Haze (only background)
  • Chilly Trippy, Dank Trippy (not background)
Gauntlets can also come with one of the following weapons:
  • Pencil
  • Blade
  • Hammer
  • Lasso
  • Lollipop
  • Rubber Chicken
  • Bang Gun
  • Blue, Green, or Red Saber
  • Gun
  • Bone Hand
  • Ninja
  • Mummy Hand
On top of their appearance, Gauntlet NFTs can also have one of the visual effects listed below:
  • Lighting
  • Laser
  • Blood
  • Ember
  • Shock
  • Rocks
  • Flame
  • Water
Each Gauntlet NFT has a variety of traits, with no two being exactly alike. Not all Gauntlets have weapons or effects, as these are bonus features that will likely affect your character in the future BossLogic Universe P2E game. More about rarity can be broken down and observed on OpenSea, a secondary marketplace for NFTs. Also keep in mind that while each Gauntlet is unique, some traits are rarer and more desirable than others, meaning a less common Gauntlet NFT will likely cost more than a common one.
