Types of TD chequing accounts available

TD offers a multitude of chequing account options for its customers. While each customer might be at different stages in their lives, TD does a great job of acknowledging this and offering choices for everyone. Here are some of them.

  • Minimum monthly balance. TD offers customers the ability to waive their monthly fee by maintaining a specific minimum balance in their chequing account. The minimum amount varies by each chequing account plan.
  • Transactions per month. Whether you’re banking once every month or every day, TD offers a variety of options with chequing account plans that give you flexibility to make a transaction as often as you feel like. Some plans have a fixed amount of transactions per month while others offer unlimited transactions.
  • No monthly fee. Whether you’re a student or someone who transacts frequently in American dollars, TD offers chequing accounts that have no monthly fee and do not require a minimum balance.
  • No ATM fees. In a few of its chequing account plans, TD will waive ATM fees either (or both) in Canada or in a foreign country.
  • Quick exchange. If you frequently deal with both Canadian and American money, TD offers expedited conversion services through a chequing account plan. However, you will have to pay a nominal fee on the amount in your account.
  • Fee rebate. Receive a rebate on the annual fees of select TD credit cards.
  • Fraud alerts. For customers who sign up for one of TD’s more well-regarded chequing account plans, you will be able to receive immediate notification in the event of suspicious transactions taking place with your account.
