How does the cost of insuring a Lamborghini Aventador compare to other cars?
For one of the world’s most iconic luxury vehicles, the Lamborghini Aventador really isn’t that costly to insure. For comparison, the average cost of insuring a 2020 Mercedes-Benz C300 4MATIC 2DR is around $225 a month, or $2,700 annually. A 2020 AUDI A4 Komfort 2.0 TFSI Quattro 4DR might cost you around $287 monthly, or $3,444 annually.
However, the cost of Lamborghini Aventador car insurance falls decidedly above the average cost of car insurance in Canada, which is $96 monthly, or $1,151 annually.
Luxury vehicles can cost more to insure because of the cost of replacing hard-to-find parts or because of the statistical likelihood that such vehicles will be stolen or driven recklessly. Ironically, though, the Insurance Bureau of Canada reports that Ford trucks and Honda Civics are among the most frequently stolen vehicles in Canada.
Luxury vehicles certainly attract more attention than ordinary cars. But ordinary cars are more easily stripped and resold, making such cars particularly attractive to thieves. For this reason, it may not be as expensive to insure a luxury vehicle as you might think. But remember that your driving record, age, gender and many other factors impact the premium you’ll ultimately have to pay.
About the Lamborghini Aventador
The Lamborghini Aventador model was launched in 2011 and was named after a fighting bull named Aventador that fought in Zaragoza in 1993. The Aventador was initially planned to be limited to 4,000 units but the 5,000th unit of the Aventador was built in March 2016, 5 years after its release.
