On January 27, 2022, LG Energy Solution went public on the Korea Stock Exchange (KRX) under the ticker “373220.”

The offering consisted of 34 million newly-issued stocks plus 8.5 million stocks offered by parent company, LG Chem. Altogether, the IPO raised around $13 billion, making it South Korea’s largest public offering.
You can’t buy LG Energy Solution stock on a Canadian stock exchange like the TSX or CSE. Instead, you need a Canadian broker that provides access to stocks sold on the Korea Stock Exchange (KRX), the market in which LG Energy stocks are trading.
However, some Canadian brokerages don’t offer access to international investments at all or only provide access to a limited range of investment opportunities.
